Mezze Maniche fava beans and ham
Pasta with fava bean is a very simple and tasty dish of the traditional Tuscan cuisine.
To prepare this pasta the following ingredients are necessary:
INGREDIENTS for 4 people:
-400 grams of mezze maniche fava beans, preferably Cecco's
-A garlic clove
- 4 spoonfuls of extra virgin olive oil
- 300 grams of fava bean
- 150 grams of Parmesan cheese
- 200 grams of ham
Boil water in a pot. While waiting, cut the garlic thinly and fry it on a low flame. Then add the fava beans. Watch out. Do not leave the garlic to brown so much to avoid its flavour to be so strong. Then, add a little white wine and water while the fava beans are being cooked.
When water boils, add the pasta. Once it is "al dente" put it in the pan where the fava beans is and mix everything adding the Parmesan cheese, olive oil, black pepper and ham cut into strips.
