Overview of Pistoia
Located at just 40 minutes from Florence besides the Appennins, Pistoia's center is well preserved. The city has become an important center for the production of trains and buses (Breda), and maintains the tradition for metal work. Here in the 16th century the pistol was invented, which was given the name of the city. Not to be missed is the lively and colorful Wednesday and Saturday mornings market in Piazza del Duomo.
How to Get There
BY CAR: Pistoia is off the Highway A11 and SS64 and SS66. BY BUS: Every hour Pistoia is connected with Florence and other towns in Tuscany. The ticket boot is opposite the train station (COPIT and Lazzi).
