THE UMBRIA JAZZ, COMING SOON TO PERUGGIA

George Benson, B.B King, Simply Red, Wynton Marsalis, Paolo Conte and Burt Bacharach are just some musicians and groups that take part in the great programme that will take place in the following edition of UMBRIA JAZZ. This music festival of recognized international prestige will be held in the beautiful city of Perugia from 10th to 19th July. This international music festival which turns this year its 33rd edition characterizes for knowing how to keep a growing gathering, guaranteeing the presence of renowned artists on the world stage. The biggest jazz and music in general virtuosos have been in this festival. This beautiful town in Umbria, where one of the most important universities for foreigners in Italy sits, fills with shows, good music and fun for 10 days.

Perugia, which is situated just a few kilometres away from the south of Tuscany, is a really interesting destination and a city which is worth visiting. As the whole region of Umbria, full of singular and beautiful villages with charm, this region is not as visited as the neighbouring area of Tuscany, but affords scenic beauty of endless attractions and undeniable cultural and historical value.

As there are direct flights connecting many European capitals to the beautiful Perugia, more and more travellers choose this historical and charming city as a starting point for their travels around Tuscany as well as Umbria.

On the days that the Umbria Jazz in Perugia takes place, more than 250 musical events fill the city day and night. There are concerts in the theatres and venues in the city. What started as a small festival of jazz in 1973 has evolved to turn into a musical must –visit in one of the most beautiful settings that can ever be imagined.
