Main monuments to visit:
- The Pieve (Church): has been remodeled several times in the course of the centuries. In 1910 it was transformed by the prestigious architect Giuseppe Castellucci. A peculiar vestige of the ancient church is a sculpted cross. The indoors host: the beautiful “Banquet in the house of the Pharisee” by Passignano and some frescoes fragments from the 14th and15th centuries as well as a splendid bronze bust of B. Davanzato by PietroTacca (17th century) and his relics.
- The Palazzo Pretorio: with a renaissance façade ornamented by thirty-five coats of arms belonging to the main Florentines families.
- The Chapel of San Michele Arcangelo: located in the neighboring area of Poggio di Petrognano where the Fortress of Semifonte once stood up. The beautiful octagonal Chapel was designed and built by Santi di Tito (16th century). Its cupola, being much smaller, has the same architectonical characteristics of the cupola to “Santa Maria del Fiore” in Florence.
