An antique Etruscan settlement, Radda Hamlet's original foundations date back to the year 2,500 B.C. Later inhabited by Roman settlers, it then became the fortified rockfort for those troups battling in one of the longest Medieval wars between Siena and Florence. The original Romanesque church at Radda Hamlet is the oldest construction still intact dating back to the year 1100. Eventually abandoned, it recently restored its wine, oil, honey and vegetable production.
At Radda Hamlet is a Boutique Hotel where the space is divided among seven uniquely luxurious bedrooms. Each room is furnished with antique pieces from the Tuscan past. Comfort and romanticism spouse perfectly in each accommodation.

Each room is equipped with stereo system, telephone, and minibar. All ensuite bathrooms are in marble. Each room also features spectacular views from their windows, a daily treat to remember. The B&B was restructured to welcome its guests in an enchanting atmosphere of the past with modern ornaments and comforts. Radda Hamlet is surrounded by 168 acres of land, where an olive grove, vineyards, vegetable gardens, and mature woods interlace harmoniously and present a unique sight to the observer. The large (13 by 6) swimming pool is surroundd by lush vegetation and its panoramic conformation harmonizes with the surroundings.

A morning buffet-breakfast is served daily included in the price. You also have the option to join the tipical Tuscan dinner, which is hand cooked each night for guests.
Even though immersed in an oasis of peace, Radda Hamlet is near many cultural and lively centers with a variety of wineries, restaurants and shops. Siena and Florence are just half hour away. From here the world-famous "Strada dei Castelli nel Chianti", or Castle Road in Chianti, is just a short drive away. Here you will be able to visit many Medieval castles and enjoy a unique scenery.
