Tuscany Heads the Francigena Project
The Via Francigena is the road that used to lead the Romans to France, departing from Rome in Italy and arriving in France through the Gran San Bernardo mountain pass, crossing important cities and towns such as Pienza, Siena and Lucca.
The joint project aims at bolstering the many cultural touristic spots that lay along the route. Thanks to this project tourists that visit Tuscany will be able to enjoy a renewd network of signes, restaurants and accommodations arranged with the purpose to boost this forgotten treasure of the Tuscanand Italian territory.
